Graduate of the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdańsk, where he was qualified as a doctor of economy. Since 1995 – working with the Gdańsk Institute for Market Economics. At present, the Head of the Research Area "Banking and Financial Markets". Author and co-author of many scientific and popular publications, as well as research projects on banking. A member of the jury of the Bank Ranking of Gazeta Bankowa. A lecturer of the University of Gdańsk.

Research interests:

• Competitiveness of the Polish banking sector;
• Retail banking;
• Multi-dimensional evaluation of bank competitive position;
• Stability of banking systems;
• Integration of European financial markets.
