VISION:
Surveys and recommendations based on interdisciplinary methods applied in economics (including statistical methods) to analyse economic processes and phenomena, evaluate macroeconomic and regional situation, forecast macroeconomic variables, assess investment risks, analyse and prepare forecasts and projections on particular sectors of economy.
Surveys are carried out based on standard and own original methodological solutions, including a model of quarterly national accounts, a model of multidimensional analysis, own methodology for sector studies, a weekly barometer of market situation.
The Institute often studies new or untypical areas of the economy, which may not be subject to a standard analysis for various reasons, and therefore require some other innovative research techniques.
An important element of this research area are recommendations. This refers both to the publication of results of surveys and analyses in media, as well as the presentation of current economic events to the public.
SCOPE OF RESEARCH:
- preparation of quarterly evaluation of macroeconomic standing and forecasts of GDP and most important macroeconomic categories;
- sector studies by various aggregations and problems;
- tangible investment risk in particular sectors of the economy;
- evaluation of adjustment of individual sectors of the Polish economy to European integration requirements;
- economic standing of voivodships (business condition test);
- weekly barometer of economic situation.
