SCOPE OF RESEARCH:
1. SOCIAL EXPENDITURES AND THEIR FINANCING SOURCES:
Current analysis, medium and long - term projections and simulations of social expenditures and their financing sources according to various assumptions concerning economic development, demographic situation and the situation in the labour market using Social Budget model (built in the Gdańsk Institute for Market Economics in cooperation with the International Labour Organization).
2. DIAGNOSIS, PROJECTING CHANGES AND ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECTS OF INTRODUCED REFORMS
(in the field of pension and disability system, social security system of farmers, family policy, labour market policy), the evaluation of these reforms concerning the employment growth and equal opportunities of women and men (not only in the labour market but also in the social security system).
3. DEMOGRAPHIC CHANGES AND ITS INTERRELATIONS WITH LABOUR MARKET AND SOCIAL POLICY
Especially issues connected with work and family reconciliation and labour force participation of the population.
4. LABOUR MARKET
Especially forecasting the development of the regional labour markets, analyzing the results of the institutional changes, raising the opportunities of the low-skilled, females, disabled and elderly in the labour market.
5. SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM IN POLAND
This topic is studied in numerous projects; it focuses on issues related to the effectiveness of the social security system in Poland, short-term and long-term effects of reforms and changes recommended.
